Glow Builds DaaS into its Tech Platforms
Device as a Service (especially Phone as a Service) has seen many false starts but our clients are starting to crack the code. We see certain Telcos making a success of DaaS with significantly rising device customer net adds.Some Telcos that have tried and failed to make a success of DaaS programs have done so because they have been unable to manage the complexity of the device returns. This has been a minefield in many cases as some customers think they own the phone and when faced with the reality of a hard decision (e.g. to make a balloon payment, to make an unwelcome upgrade or to continue paying for a phone they have already paid for etc) they then have driven NPS to new lows. The high of new adds attracted by cheaper devices has been followed by new lows of customer disillusionment.But we are now seeing new successes as Telcos work out how to make DaaS a success.
